This Lavender-Infused Beverage Will Get Rid of Your Headaches and Anxiety

Lavender oil offers a wide range of benefits due to its complex chemical structure, which contains over 150 active constituents. It possesses various properties, including anti-fungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antidepressant, analgesic, antibacterial, hypotensive, antispasmodic, sedative, and detoxifying properties.

Studies conducted in Florida have shown that lavender oil can help reduce anxiety and lower pulse rates in individuals undergoing stressful situations, such as tests.

In addition to its psychological benefits, lavender oil also boasts medicinal properties. It has been found to alleviate depression, ease labor pains, and improve insomnia. Research suggests that lavender oil may be effective in relieving hangovers, headaches, pain, and sinus congestion.

Here’s a recipe for lemonade with lavender essential oil:

Ingredients:

  • 6 lemons (peeled and juiced)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon dried and organic culinary lavender (or 1 drop of lavender oil)
  • 1 drop purple food coloring (optional)
  • Lavender sprigs for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a pan, pour half of the water and bring it to a boil. Remove from heat.

  3. Strain the mixture and transfer it into a larger container.

Important Note: While lavender oil is generally safe for topical use and inhalation, ingestion of the oil requires caution. Most studies have focused on its topical application or inhalation, and there have been no reported negative symptoms when a small amount of oil is ingested. As of now, there are no known food interactions with lavender oil.
