  • 6 whole cardamom pods (lightly crushed)

  • 2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup low-fat (1%) milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Method:

  1. Put cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, peppercorns, and 3 cups water into a pot. Bring to a boil.
  2. Place a cover. Then reduce heat and let simmer for at least 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to let steep for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Return pot to heat and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, then add tea, cover and set aside. Then let it steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, discarding solids, then return liquid to the pot. Stir in sugar and milk and heat over low heat for 1 minute. Pour into cups and serve.
